Ethos Returned   is a Sci-fi novel
Are we influenced by something or someone from the past, unknown to us?  Is there technology out there, even older than the one from the extracerrestrials?

Ethos Returned deals with the idea that many scientific advancements on earth during the recent past came from an ancient alien source.

The Urians have struggled for 300,000 years with the Igitans, their archenemies, trying to gain the upper hand on earth.  Their conflicts started on a distant planet, then continued on Mars, on Titan and on earth again. At last, with the help of Earthlings, they found a way to maintain control of their faith; they established Sumer City, located in New Mexico where they lived in peace amongst Earthlings.

This is a fast-moving adventure novel, that incorporates technology, philosophy, heredity and sociology.

Sumer City was quiet and tranquil.  It was still early in the day but the heat radiation waves were already noticeable one foot above the hot surfaces of the avenues.  Two Earthlings walked toward the center of the city.  They wiped their perspiration from their foreheads.  One of them looked up at a thermometer, mounted on a tall, white building.  It read 112 degrees Fahrenheit.  Now they picked up their pace to reach the air-conditioned offices of the government building.  They have an appointment with an Urian official.  Across the avenue, in clear sight of the Earthlings, two foot soldiers policed the avenues to keep order and peace.  Both were six feet seven inches tall and they wore chest armors.  They appeared to be comfortable and they did not perspire.  Their internal, miniature air-conditioning system kept them cool.  One of the soldiers stepped on a rock, about four inches in diameter and he slipped.  He looked annoyed.  He bent down, picked up the rock and threw it in a high ark beyond the outskirts of the city.  The rock landed in the desert sand.  One of the Earthlings noted, “Did you see that?  He must have thrown the rock two or three miles.  That is unbelievable.”
“Not really,” said the other, knowingly.
“These two Urians are organificial humanoids.  I bet that the other has artificial legs.  They travel in teams.  And by the way, this is why we are visiting this fellow, Aropad.”
“Is this his first name or his last name?” ... .
