Sven Bjorken slipped his portable communicator into the front pocket of his overalls.  A tailor custom made them from styrodene, which keeps out the cold and repels the hot summer rays.  When he is on the job that=s what he usually wears.  They are lightweight and they don=t restrict his movements.  The size is XXL, because he is six feet and six inches tall, weighs two-hundred-forty-five pounds.  He is proud of his Viking ancestry to the point where he had a symbolic Viking tattooed above his left nipple.  He has squared off facial features, a nose curved to the left, forged from one of his karate encounters.  His steel blue eyes were half covered with slightly drooping wary lids.  His body was solid muscle and no fat.  In a physical, encounter only a few combatants could size up to him.  Most of the time, they don=t even try.  He always carries the tools of his trade; a miniature packet of lock picking tools, a forensic testing kit, three pairs of thin gloves, a small metal detector, a portable computer / communication device, a laser pen and a laser pistol.  The latter he purchased just recently in a Belgian gun store.  He finished a call to Jack Moore to tell him what had happened at his Iceland property and Moore wasn't happy. 

Officially, Matt Jones is Sven=s boss but most of the time he works directly for Jack Moore, ever since they built this facility in Iceland.  Sven met Moore and his wife, Anna, in Bremen at a social meeting of ISTA.  He had a short, but memorable conversation with Moore, but he talked at great lengths with his wife.  Both conversations stuck in Sven=s mind.  The members of this group have common interests, which consist of identifying alien life forms and setting up a colony in outer space.  Sven is also interested in the new types of clean power sources that are available now and will continue to be available in the future.  He had extensive space voyager training at the University of Reykjavik, while he majored in micro technology and space physics.  When Moore met Sven, he immediately became interested in this oversize hulk.  He would make an excellent investigator and he would fit into his organization extremely well.  Because he has the same interests as Moore and since he lives in Iceland, he was a perfect match for his next project.  That is to build an outpost in a convenient location, where he could launch many of his enterprises.  With the help of Sven, they picked a location south east of Hafnir, but not without bloodshed.  It is isolated, but easily accessible with a motor vehicle.  Furthermore, it is close to an airport and to a seaport.  Sven helped building this compound ... .
